The workshop provides the student with an introduction to letterpress printing and basic typesetting. The student will learn the basic of typography, the anatomy of a type and tools in a composing room. Students will learn typesetting in stages: layout, lockup, make-ready, ink & colour and packing. The student will also be introducing to the printing press and will be guided to operate the press. Students will print their own quote in letterpress metal types and wood types using the printing press.
The whole session will be divided into morning session and afternoon session, morning will be the presentation with poster workshop and metal typesetting in the afternoon. Students will be required to come out with two quotes or messages for both designs.

The session will be a whole day workshop. Morning Timing from 10:30 am - 1 pm with a lunch break of 1 hr, afternoon session starts 2 pm - 5 pm
